Exodus 1

Read chapter

Dear God,

Thank You for Your Word and for this chapter. Thank You for the reminder that even in difficult and oppressive times, You are still in control and working out Your plans. Thank You for the example of the midwives who feared You more than Pharaoh and did not obey his orders to kill the Hebrew babies. Help me to have the same courage and faith to stand up for what is right, even when it is not popular or easy.

As I face my own challenges and struggles, I pray for Your strength and guidance. Help me to trust in Your timing and Your purposes, even when they are not clear to me. Give me the wisdom and discernment to know how to navigate difficult situations and the courage to do what is right, even when it is hard.

I also pray for those who are facing oppression and injustice around the world. May Your hand of protection be upon them, and may You bring about deliverance and freedom for those who are suffering. Give me a heart of compassion and empathy for those who are marginalized and mistreated, and show me how I can be a part of Your work in bringing about justice and healing.

Thank You for hearing my prayer, and for being a God who cares for the oppressed and the downtrodden. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
