Thank You for Your Word and for this chapter. As I meditate on this passage, I am reminded of Your sovereignty and Your justice. You are a God who sees everything and who will bring judgment on the wicked. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and to walk in obedience to Your will.
I also ask for Your mercy and compassion, as I see the sufferings and devastations described in this chapter. Please bring comfort to those who are hurting and in need, and help us to be Your instruments of love and hope to those around us.
May we learn from the mistakes of the arrogant and prideful, and may we humbly seek Your guidance and wisdom in all that we do. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise of restoration and redemption for those who put their trust in You.
