Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
You are the ultimate refuge and shelter for the weary and oppressed. You are the compassionate and merciful Father who hears the cries of the displaced and vulnerable. I lift up to You all the refugees who are fleeing from war, persecution, and violence, seeking safety and a new beginning. Please, provide them with the strength and courage to endure their hardships and the hope to believe that better days are ahead.
I pray for the hearts of the nations to be open to welcome and embrace refugees with love and compassion, just as You have welcomed us into Your Kingdom. Help us to see the refugees as our brothers and sisters, and to extend our hands in support and solidarity. May they find comfort and refuge in Your loving arms, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives and find peace in their new homes.
I pray for the organizations and individuals working tirelessly to assist and advocate for refugees, may they be strengthened and empowered to continue their important work. Let us never become indifferent to the plight of refugees, but be moved with empathy and compelled to take action. I entrust all refugees into Your care, knowing that You are the ultimate provider and protector.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
