thank You for Your Word and for this chapter. Thank You for the reminder that love covers over a multitude of sins and for the encouragement to use our gifts to serve others. Help me to be self-controlled and sober-minded, so that I can pray earnestly and love others deeply.
Please give me the strength to endure suffering and persecution for the sake of Your name, and help me to rejoice in sharing in Christ’s sufferings. I know that suffering brings refinement and strengthens my faith, so I ask for the grace to endure it with joy.
May Your Spirit empower me to live for the will of God and not for human desires. Help me to be self-controlled and to resist the temptations of the flesh. I surrender myself to You and ask for Your guidance and strength in all things.
