Sanctification

Bible references
– 1 Thessalonians 4:3
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality.

– 1 Peter 1:15-16
But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

– Hebrews 12:14
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

– Romans 6:19
I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

Father,
You are the source of holiness and righteousness, and I come before You humbly asking for sanctification. Please cleanse me from all unrighteousness and set me apart for Your purposes. Help me to continually grow in spiritual maturity and become more like Christ in every aspect of my life. May Your Holy Spirit work in me to purify my heart, mind, and soul, so that I may reflect Your love and grace to those around me.

Lord, I confess that I am not always faithful in walking in Your ways and often fall short of Your standard of holiness. Forgive me for my sins and weaknesses, and renew a right spirit within me. I surrender all my desires and ambitions to You, and ask that You empower me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Help me to resist temptation and to be faithful in obeying Your commandments.

I pray for the strength to withstand the pressures of the world and to remain steadfast in my faith. May Your word be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, guiding me in the ways of righteousness. I trust in Your promises that You will complete the good work You have started in me, and I eagerly anticipate the day when I will be made perfect in Your presence. Thank You for Your faithfulness and lovingkindness towards me, and I ask all these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
