Ezra 1

Dear God,

Thank You for Your Word and for this chapter that reminds me of Your faithfulness and power. Thank You for the way You used King Cyrus to fulfill Your promises and bring about the restoration of Your people.

God, I pray that You would work in my life as You did in the lives of the Israelites, bringing about Your plans and purposes. Help me to trust in Your sovereignty and to follow Your leading, even when it may not make sense to me.

I ask for Your guidance and protection, and for the strength to overcome any obstacles that stand in the way of Your will for my life. May Your glory be revealed through me, just as it was through the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.

Thank You for hearing my prayer, and for Your constant presence in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Mi Señor,

Gracias por tu Palabra y por este texto que nos recuerda tu fidelidad y amor inagotable hacia tu pueblo. Así como moviste el corazón del rey Ciro para que permitiera la reconstrucción del templo en Jerusalén, te pido que también muevas los corazones de aquellos que tienen poder y autoridad en el mundo para que permitan la libertad de tu pueblo y la restauración de tu obra en la tierra.

Concédeme la valentía y la determinación de Esdras y Nehemías para no desfallecer en la tarea de reconstruir lo que ha sido destruido por el pecado y la injusticia. Que mi fe en ti sea inquebrantable y mi compromiso con tu obra sea firme, sabiendo que tú estás conmigo en todo momento.
